Transportation
Both Suzhou and Wuxi are accessible via the Grand Canal in Huangzhou. One boat departs daily for each location, both taking 13 hours.
The boating industry on West Lake is regulated. Boat operators wear light blue uniforms and charge RMB 80 (USD 10) per hour. Hiring a private boat is recommended, and the hotel staff are happy to assist with the arrangements.
