Beijing is famous for its 'food streets', pedestrian alleys with hawker stands lined up along the block selling a variety of exotic and delicious food. This theme recreates a Beijing food street, including local artisans in action, such as calligraphers, dough sculptors, kite makers and cobblestone carvers.
Guests may shop for a souvenirs, walk through the street and stop over at one of the food stalls serving Chinese delicacies, such as Beijing Roast Duck, Chinese Pancakes and Lamb Skewers. Discovering the art of noodle-making, making steamed dumplings, and sampling the chef's specialty, Dan Dan Noodles, will prove fascinating to guests with culinary interests.
After dinner, a drum roll will signal the start of the Lion Dance: gongs, drums and cymbals provide the musical backdrop for magnificent feats of Chinese acrobatics. A Chinese string ensemble provides additional music throughout the event.
