Ms. Cheah sets and upholds standards across the rooms divisions in all Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts, ensuring cost effectiveness, efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. Since joining the company in 1994, Ms. Cheah has held hotel manager positions at Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai and Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing, and was executive assistant manager, rooms at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong. She held a wide variety of operational posts in her previous nine years with the Westin Stamford &Westin Plaza in her home country of Singapore.
