Mr. Ram assists the chief financial officer in maintaining best accounting practices and financial control of all transactions in the hotels and monitoring of effective cash flow, working capital management, annual budgeting and ongoing business forecasting. Mr. Ram joined Shangri-La in 1989 as director of finance for China World Hotel, Traders Hotel and Trade Center Restaurants, Beijing. Prior to his current position, he was regional financial controller for Shangri-La hotels in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar. Previously he was 15 years with the Taj Group of Hotels, culminating in a position as controller of accounts, northern India region.
